Requirements for eligibility on Curve's Payments functionality
Curve relies on its payment partners' licenses to provide cross-border payment services. To be eligible for onboarding, there is one major requirement: clients must be based in one of the permitted jurisdictions listed below. If your business is located outside these areas, you will not be able to make use of Curve's Payments functionality, unless you establish an entity in a permitted jurisdiction. Some Curve clients have successfully established companies in eligible jurisdictions to meet requirements to make use of our Payments functionality.
Please note that Payees do not need to be in a permitted jurisdiction. We can process payouts globally, even if the recipient is outside the permitted list, except for restricted territories (more on that below).
If you are interested in Curve's Payments functionality but our based outside of one of the permitted jurisdictions, please contact us to request coverage in your region. Curve Royalty Systems is constantly working to expand our coverage via existing and new payment partners. For further details, please contact [email protected].

Further Limitations to the Payments Functionality
There are a few legal limitations to the Payments functionality which will be good to be aware of.
- It is not possible to send payments to a payee in a restricted territory.
- There are certain restrictions when sending payments in USD to and from certain territories.
- Clients based in the EEA will not be able to hold balances or make payments in a few restricted currencies.
If you need to send payments which fall under one of the above restrictions; please note that these will not be blockers for you to sign up to Curve's Payments functionality. But it will mean that those restricted cases will need to be handled via a different route, independent from Curve's payment functionality.
