Why is Curve returning an error when I delete Statements to reset the Contract balance to 0?

When deleting Statements, Curve does not delete the Transactions associated with them. Consequently, even if you delete the Statements, the Contract's balance will not reset to zero, as the underlying Transactions still exist. The Opening Balance on a Statement is directly referenced from the Contract's previous Transactions.

The platform is designed not to delete Period Transactions from Contracts because doing so has potential knock-on effects on the Period and other related Contracts.

Deleting Statements is therefore only helpful in the use case where you intend to subsequently delete the corresponding Contracts as well.
