Using Target Cells to Read Data From One Particular Cell in the Sales File
In a sales file, it may happen that certain useful information such as a Date or Currency is specified in the header row. To store this information on your database on Curve, you can use the Target Cells feature in your Template. Curve will read the data of your designated cell in the sales file, and store this value in the designated field for every single sales line.
In the example below, we are looking at a Spotify sales file. Spotify stores an End Date in cell C2, which we wish to store as the Sale Date of our sales file. If so, we can create a Target Cell, set it to read the value from cell C2 and store this as our Sale Date. Automatically, the picked up Sale Date will be applied to every single sales line in this file.
