Uploading Apple Sales Files
The Apple sales import process is very similar to that of our regular sales ingestion process. On your Sales page, hit the +Create button in the top-right of your page and select Bulk Upload. Drop as many sales files as you wish to import. When dropping the respective sales files in our Bulk Upload Tool, Curve will automatically retrieve the correct Template and start ingesting your sales files.
Make sure you upload Apple's “All Territories (Single File)” statement ending on ZZ.
The different file prefixes are associated with:
C_ = iTunes Match
S1_ = Apple Music
S3_ = Apple Music Radio
S5_ = Apple Music DJ Mixes
F1_ = Apple Fitness+
No Prefix = iTunes
Uploading Sales Files from Apple requires an extra step due to the Finance File that is included with their sales file format. The Finance File contains exchange rates that are applied to each line based on the territory that sale occurred in,
Once the ingestion process has finished and you open your sales file on Curve, you will be welcomed by our Mapping Manager who, amongst the usual mapping request, will now also ask you to provide the Financial Report. This file contains the exchange rates we will need to apply to your sales data.
You'll see all the currencies on the exchange rate tab on the Mapping Manager. There's no need to complete this, as this information is picked up from the Mapping Manager. If, though, you're paid in different currencies, you'll need to make sure to specify the exchange rate. For example, when your home currency is GBP and you're paid in USD, EUR and GBP, then a USD>GBP and EUR>GBP exchange rate needs to be provided.
When your uploaded sales are complete, please always review whether the total amount of your files adds up to the expected received amount as specified in your financial report.
