Deleting Tracks or Releases with Sales Attached

Occasionally, you may want to delete a Track or Release from your catalogue. This is easily done using our Delete Selected or Delete Bulk functionality. However, Curve will prevent you from deleting Tracks or Releases that have sales lines attached to it. In such a scenario, you will need to first reassign those sales lines to a new Track or Release in order to delete it.

Via the Sales DB page we can search for any sales lines that have been attached to a Track or Release by using the Tracks or Releases filter respectively. Once we are confident that we are only filtering on sales attached to the Track/Release we want to delete, we can use the "Edit Filtered" button to edit all of the sales lines at once. We can change the Track ID or Release ID of these sales lines to that of the new Track or Release to which we would like to reassign these sales.

Please make sure to review you are indeed filtering on just those sales that you wish to adjust. If you have loaded all of the lines in your database, and you hit Edit Filtered, you will update all the sales lines on your database.

Once we have reassigned our sales, and no more sales are attached to our initial Track or Release, we are now enabled to delete our Track or Release as per usual.
