How to Configure Your Settings

Ok, you’ve had a look around, now it’s time to configure your Curve client! Please watch the first chapter of our Getting Started tutorial. After the video, we will provide some helpful notes & further reading.

How to Configure Your Settings

To reach your Settings on Curve, use the sidebar navigation panel, look towards the bottom, where you’ll find the Settings area. Click on the Settings directory, & then select the General page. This is where you configure the system to match your business. Please consider the below basic steps when configuring your client.

Overview

1
Provide Company Name & Address – This will be displayed on your royalty statements.
2
Select your preferred Date Format – Prefer a DD/MM/YY or a MM/DD/YY format? Select your preference here. This format will be used throughout your Curve client and on your royalty statements.

Configuration

3
Select the Currency in which you wish to account royalties – Your Home Currency will be the base currency in which all monetary values will be displayed throughout your Curve client. It will also be the default currency in which you create your statements. Curve Pro clients will have the option to select additional currencies as part of the Multicurrency add-on ✪.  More Info

Statement Design

4
Add a help email & custom text to your statements – A help email will make sure your artists know who to reach out to when they have questions. But even better, your custom texts may already provide information & answers to frequently asked questions. Please make sure to include information about your payment policy. More info
5
Choose your preferred statement design – A number of options are available that affect the layout of your artist's statements. More info
6
Upload your logo – Your business logo will be displayed on the artist statements. Your image can be in jpg or png format, but can be no larger than 500×500 pixels wide.

Communication

7
Provide a help email & custom texts to your emails – Whenever you invite an artist to their Curve portal or send out a new statement, your artist will receive an email from the Curve platform. As with your statements, you can customise these by providing a help email and custom text. If you wish to apply a layout to the text, such as adding paragraphs or adding text in bold, then you can do so using HTML code. More info

Additionally these different sales types become available in the Contracts as conditions to apply a unique set of royalty rates to. More Info
