Mapping Income to Works using the Main Identifier as a reference

When importing income files to Curve, we will map this income to the correct Work in your catalogue.

However, in order to avoid any risk of incorrectly mapping revenue due to different sources coincidentally using similar identifiers, the background mapping process does not automatically map based on Main Identifiers, but instead it uses the ISWC, Society Identifier or Alias to map income to Works.

If you need to map your Works based on Main Identifier, you can enable this on a Template level; meaning that going forward, Works will be mapped based on Main Identifiers, when receiving Income from the same Source. That is why, we recommend enabling it only if you are using this Template to import revenue for Works using your own Main Identifiers or if storing the Income Source Identifiers as your own main identifiers.

You can switch the feature back on by going to your Source's template, where you can find the 'Catalogue Mapping Configuration' on the Mappings page. Unticking the 'Ignore Main Identifiers' box will include Main Identifiers for mapping again.
