Using Scheduled Deliveries to Automatically send Works to Partners ✪

You can use Scheduled Deliveries to automate your Work Registration Deliveries. Want to send all newly created and updated Works to your society at the first of every month? We got you.

This feature is available to Curve Pro clients as part of the Deliveries add-on ✪

You will need to get a few areas of Curve ready to send out your automated Deliveries:

Delivery Settings Overview

In the Delivery Settings Overview area, make sure you fill out your CWR Setup with your CWR Sending Party Name and ID in you are using CWR for your Deliveries. If you don't have one yet because you're new to sending CWRs, your society can set one up for you.

You can decide to Auto Approve Works that you add to the Curve platform. By Auto Approving Works, you will enable them to be picked up for Delivery (if the Work is valid). Unless you set Works to On Hold they will be delivered in any Delivery Schedules you have set up that include all Approved Works. You can read more about Work statuses in this article: Using Work Statuses to set your Works up for Delivery.

Finally, you can set up User Notifications for your Delivery Schedules. The Users you link here will receive a notification 48hours before a Scheduled Delivery is sent, and a confirmation of the Delivery once it has been made.

Delivery Partners

In order to set up your scheduled delivery, we need to know who to send it to and how. This is why we need Delivery Partners to be set up for every party you want to send a Delivery to, because that's where we store all this information. Our documentation on Delivery Partners has all the information you need to set these up.

Delivery Schedules

Finally, we have made it to the reason we're here: Delivery Schedules. Thankfully most of the work to successfully set up a Delivery Schedule has already been done, and we just need to fill out a few more fields. You can find the Schedules under Deliveries > Deliveries > Delivery Schedules.

Schedule Name: this is where you name your schedule, which will also be the name of your Delivery when it is made. For example, if your Delivery Schedule is named 'SACEM Monthly', the automated Delivery that's created when your sending date comes around looks like this on Curve:

Delivery Partner is where you select which Partner you want to send this Delivery to. If you have more than one Delivery Partner for a society, make sure to select the correct one. If you're delivering to a society via Musicmark or ICE, select Musicmark or ICE as the Delivery Partner. When you send to one of these Delivery Partners, the Delivery status will be updated for the Musicmark/ICE partner as well as any sub partners that are linked to them.

On the right side of the page you can select when you want to send out this Delivery. This can be weekly or monthly.

Make sure your Schedule is active if you want to send Works with it. Make it inactive if you want to pause your automated Deliveries.

Please note that any changes to the days of the delivery should be done a couple of days in advance; ideally 2 days prior, in order to get the email reminder that the delivery will go, and one day at least beforehand to make the delivery slot.

Finally, you will select a Filter for your Scheduled Delivery. There are a few Smart Filters to use:

Newly Approved, Updated and Manually Queued: This will include any Works that you have Approved since your last Delivery to this partner. It will also include any Works that have been 'Significantly Changed': any changes have been made to the Work Title, IP Chain (parties and shares) or the Controlled Territories on the Work. Finally, it also includes any Works that have been manually queued for that Delivery Partner. You can read more about manually queueing Works here: Using Work Statuses to set your Works up for Delivery

Manually Queued: Only Works that have been manually queued for this Delivery Partner will be included. Learn more about the process of Manually Queuing Works in our Work Statuses documentation.

Custom: You can create filters to pick up Works that meet certain criteria. For example, pick up all Works with a specific Catalogue Group, for a specific Composer or all Works created in the last 3 Months. Please note that only Approved Works will be picked up, all other Works are not included because they are either invalid or On Hold.

Once you've set up the above information, your Deliveries will automatically go out!
